Job Purpose:
To manufacture medicines for individual patients in a highly regulated environment.
Ideal opportunity to gain entry into the pharmaceutical industry.
Hours are 0800 to 1645 Monday to Friday. No shift work. No weekends.
Specific Responsibilities:
1. To manufacture batches of a range of dosage forms.
2. Complete processes in the Microsoft Dynamics ERP system.
3. Minimise the potential for cross contamination of products by maintaining levels of cleanliness of clean rooms, dedicated glassware and equipment.
4. Prioritise day-to-day activity, manage own time and available resources to enable successful completion of departmental objectives.
5. Train staff.
6. Undertake the responsibilities of the Assistant Production Technician as required.
7. Undertake the responsibilities of the Warehouse Operator as required.
Preferred Attributes:
1. Third level education, ideally in a life science.
2. Genuine desire to pursue a career within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
3. Ideally, experience in a production or commercial food preparation operation.
4. Exceptionally high standards with meticulous attention to detail.
5. A flexible team player with the ability to work proactively.
6. A highly organised ‘completer-finisher’ with good prioritisation skills.
7. Ability to work accurately in a busy, demanding environment, whilst adhering to stringent deadlines.
8. Ability to work in a very structured role requiring high levels of concentration and stamina.
9. Due to potential contamination risks, you must adhere to good personal hygiene (and you will not be permitted to wear jewellery or make up whilst working in the manufacturing areas).
10. Committed to learning and development (including formal qualifications), with a passion to grow within the business.
