Job Title: Inject Moulding Engineer
Location: Longford/Roscommon
This is an exciting opportunity to join a manufacturing site that has undergone major investment and expansion since 2022. As an Inject Moulding Engineer, you will support the introduction of new products to the site.
Prior medical device and/or injection moulding experience is required for this day role.
About the Role:
* Responsible for introducing all new products into the company and compiling standard specifications for each process and monitoring existing production to standard specifications.
* Ensures process optimization using statistical techniques.
* Works with Production Group leaders in troubleshooting processing problems.
* Establishes relationships with customers and Equipment/Raw Material suppliers in pursuit of continuous improvement and ongoing business development.
* Solves customer-related problems/issues in conjunction with the Quality department as needed.
* Instructs others regarding manufacturing-related skills or knowledge and assists in training employees on new processes or systems introduced to the company.
* Coordinates the development of documentation in the Production and Technical areas in line with ISO9001:2000 and ISO 13485 requirements and reviews the systems with the Group Leaders and the Quality department on a regular basis to ensure conformance to same.
* Communicates regularly with external suppliers of materials and equipment and provides regular feedback on any issues to the management team.
Requirements:
* National Diploma in Engineering (preferably a Degree in Plastics Engineering).
* Minimum 3 years' experience in the injection moulding industry.
* Very good knowledge of Injection mould tooling and design.
* Very good knowledge of Injection Moulding (standard process and Multi component), Processing, Ancillary equipment and automation systems.
* Preferably worked in either the Medical, Packaging or technological industries.
* Preferably have some knowledge of Real time monitoring systems.
* In-depth knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of experiments (DOE) and demonstrate use of same.
* Good knowledge of the principles of WCM, JIT, SMED, and Kaizen.
* Knowledge in computer systems; integrated manufacturing systems; word processing and spreadsheets.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to accurately document work performed.
* Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Able to travel as required by the position.
Salary: The estimated salary for this role is €60,000 - €80,000 per annum.
