Senior Project Engineer (Highways/Active Travel)
Fehily Timoney and Company is one of Ireland's largest Irish owned consultants with centres of excellence in Sustainable Infrastructure, Circular Economy, Environment and Renewables.
The company provides design and contract management services for the construction of infrastructure projects such as roads, greenways, bridgeworks, rail, solid waste facilities, renewable energy, drainage, water and wastewater treatment facilities, airports, tunnels and gas pipelines.
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Project Engineer to join our Sustainable Infrastructure team. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years experience in the design and delivery of highways, greenways and active travel projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Design of highways, active travel, and greenways projects
* Preparation of designs and reports at all stages of a project lifecycle
* Working closely with other Engineers, Ecologists and Environmental Scientists within the Company
* Planning and managing design deliverables, working closely with the CAD team
* Participating in client and stakeholder meetings
* Ensuring compliance with our Quality Assurance and Management Systems
* Ensuring compliance with the relevant Health and Safety legislation
Requirements
* Degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering
* 5 years post-graduate experience in the design of highways, greenway or active travel projects
* Working towards achieving Chartered Engineer status
* Solid understanding of the requirements of design standards including TII, DMURS, Cycle Design Manual
* Strong communication and technical report writing skills
* Experience in the preparation of technical reports as per the requirements of TII Project Appraisal Guidelines and/or NTA Project Approval Guidelines
