We are seeking an experienced and skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our team in Dublin. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks, repairs, and general upkeep to ensure the safety and functionality of our properties (Hostel and Houses).
Responsibilities:
Property Maintenance: Take charge of the maintenance of our properties, creating and implementing standard specifications and procedures for each item, ensuring the optimal functionality and appearance of our facilities.
Material Management: Specify and purchase suitable materials required for maintenance tasks, demonstrating a keen understanding of the appropriate materials necessary for each repair or upkeep job.
Task Coordination: Attend, schedule, and facilitate internal meetings to establish priorities and assign tasks efficiently. Coordinate with the team to ensure timely completion of maintenance activities.
Appliance Inspection and Repair: Examine customers’ appliances, diagnose issues leading to breakdowns, and provide rough estimates for repair costs. Upon customer approval, repair or replace defective components of appliances, ensuring their proper functioning.
Customer Assistance: Advise customers on the correct usage of appliances, providing guidance to prevent future breakdowns and enhance appliance longevity.
Tool Proficiency: Utilize various hand tools effectively to carry out maintenance and repair tasks, demonstrating proficiency and safety in tool usage.
Problem-Solving: Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose issues accurately and implement effective solutions for maintenance and repair challenges.
Communication: Possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with team members, customers, and suppliers.
Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring customer satisfaction through efficient and reliable maintenance services.
Skills and Requirements:
Proven experience in maintenance and repair work, preferably in a similar role.
Proficiency in using various hand tools and equipment for maintenance tasks.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Exceptional customer service skills, ensuring customer satisfaction.
Ability to attend and coordinate internal meetings, prioritizing tasks and assignments.
Knowledge of standard specifications and procedures for property maintenance.
Ability to specify and purchase suitable materials for maintenance tasks.
Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic and changing environment.
Good level of English.
