Job Summary
The Kilkenny Ormonde Hotel is recruiting for a Front Office Manager.
The Role
Overseeing the Front Office by taking responsibility for the supervision and operation of the hotel's reception. To manage the overall coordination of Front Office operations, ensuring operating standards are achieved. We are seeking a Front Office Manager who has excellent attention to detail and is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Duties And Responsibilities Include
* Manage the effective operations of our Front Office department, ensuring that all guests receive exceptional customer service in a very genuine and caring manner.
* Carry out all reception duties, working as part of the Front Office Team (Reception and Reservations).
* Deal with any customer queries in a professional and efficient manner, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times.
* Maintain an effective Front Office team through the provision of strong leadership, direction and oversight to employees and the implementation of a departmental training and professional development plan.
* Assist with the recruitment and retention of employees.
* Ensure team members have current knowledge of hotel products, services, pricing and policies, as well as knowledge of the local area, and are continuously trained to upsell, learn and understand policies and practices.
* Ensure that all areas of the main entrance & lobby are presented at a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene.
* Ensure compliance in relation to Health & Safety.
* Handle all complaints in a professional and efficient manner, ensuring they are followed up and resolved.
The Ideal Candidate
* Must have previous Front Office Management experience within a four-star property.
* A qualification in hospitality management is preferred but not essential.
* Possess the ability to operate in an organized and methodical fashion, with excellent attention to detail.
* Equipped with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a strong customer service background.
* A natural leader with good business acumen to maximize revenue and sales through the front office service.
* Knowledge of Hotsoft Reservation Management System is preferred.
