JOB DETAILS The Hospitality Assistant is responsible for the coordination and delivery of food and beverage services (outsourced) to Ibec meetings and events.
Delivery of a high-quality service to all meeting attendees as well as assisting in the planning and management of same, will be key to the success of this role.
Inventory management, placing catering orders with suppliers, maintaining appropriate safety standards so that the catering element of Ibec's meetings is of an exceptionally high standard will also be very important.
The successful candidate will also oversee event setup, seating and meeting arrangements, and room reservations while working closely with maintenance and facility teams.
Additionally, the candidate will be key to successful vendor relationships, track budgets and expenses, negotiate pricing with catering suppliers, and ensure compliance company policies.
Additionally, providing excellent service and maintaining a well-organised kitchen and event space are key priorities.

ABOUT THE ROLE Plan food and beverage for meetings and events and serving of same.
Manage stocks and place catering orders, keep track of supplies, maintain inventory.
Stocking and inventory, monitor and kitchen necessary items Ensure compliance with health and safety, as well as company policies and procedures.
Gather customer requirements, including number of guests and event dates Keep the food and supply storage areas organi s ed Event support, set up and clean event spaces, meetings rooms.
Assist with coordination, including furniture arrangements, moving furniture Collaboration, work closely with other team members, including maintenance, and facility teams to ensure smooth and efficient completion of tasks .
Understanding requirements for each event Provide excellent wait service to ensure satisfaction Clean and tidy all areas to the standards cleanliness Maintain HACCP and safety standards in the kitchen area Manage relationship with contractors and service providers Store food products in compliance with safety practices Maintain budget and expenses Researching new wholesale catering and negotiating prices Managing contractor's invoices Calculate future needs in kitchenware and equipment and place orders, as needed Manage rooms reservation on internal system

ABOUT YOU Physical ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.

Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and supplies.
