About the Role
This is a permanent job with hybrid flexibility, commutable from various locations in Ireland including Carlow, Athy, Naas, Kilcock, Maynooth, Leixlip, Clane, Celbridge, Dunboyne, Trim, and Laois areas.
You will be a key player ensuring renewable energy projects are environmentally responsible, legally compliant, and considerate of local communities.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
* Lead Environmental Assessments: Oversee EIAs to evaluate project impacts and propose mitigation measures.
* Environmental Planning Support: Advise planning teams to ensure compliance with environmental laws and policies.
* Policy Awareness: Stay updated on laws and policies to align projects with the latest regulations.
* Community Engagement: Develop plans to communicate with stakeholders and gather input on project impacts.
* Vendor Coordination: Manage third-party services to meet company and environmental standards.
* Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all project activities adhere to health, safety, and environmental guidelines.
* Mentor Team Members: Guide junior staff in EIA processes and environmental compliance.
Requirements
* Level 8 Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or related disciplines.
* EIA Expertise: 5+ years in preparing Environmental Impact Assessments for large projects.
* EIA experience is key, working on EIA reports in the Irish market.
* Project Management: Experience leading teams on environmental assessments.
* Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with relevant environmental laws and policies.
