A leading chemical manufacturer are currently seeking an Accounts Administrator to join their team on a full-time permanent basis, here in Little Island, Cork. As an Accounts Administrator, you will play a vital role in managing financial transactions and providing support to the finance team. Your attention to detail, organization skills, and proficiency in financial procedures will ensure accurate and efficient financial operations within the company.
Key Responsibilities:
* Accounts Receivable/Payable: Manage invoices, process payments, and maintain records for both incoming and outgoing transactions. Coordinate with customers and vendors to resolve payment discrepancies and ensure timely collections/payments.
* General Ledger Maintenance: Assist in maintaining the company's general ledger by accurately recording transactions, reconciling accounts, and preparing journal entries.
* Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations to verify the accuracy of transactions and account balances.
* Credit Control: Manage credit control processes, liaising with customers and sales representatives to ensure accounts are maintained in good order and payments are received on time.
* Tax Compliance: Assist in gathering and organising financial data for tax reporting and compliance purposes.
* Documentation: Maintain organised and up-to-date financial records, both physical and electronic, ensuring confidentiality and security.
* Auditing Support: Provide necessary documentation and assistance during internal and external audits.
* Financial Analysis: Assist in analysing financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
* Ad hoc Tasks: Support the finance team with various ad hoc projects and tasks as needed.
Requirements:
* 1-3 years experience in an accounts administration role covering the above/part of the above.
* Qualified Accounts Technician/Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
* Previous experience with Intact is useful but not essential.
* Excellent organisational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
* Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.
* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Familiarity with Irish accounting and tax regulations is a plus.
