Key Responsibilities: Cost Management: Overseethepreparationof cost estimates andbudget management throughout the lifecycle of the project, from pre-construction through to completion.
Contract Administration: Review and manage contracts, including ensuring compliance with terms, variations, and timely payments to contractors and suppliers.
Procurement: Assistintheprocurementprocessbyobtainingtenders,analysing quotes, andassisting in contractor selection.
Measurementand Valuation: Conducton-sitemeasurementsandvaluationsforboth progress claims and final accounts.
Risk Management: Identifyandmanageprojectrisks,proposingappropriatesolutions to minimise costs and delays.
Team Liaison: Workcloselywithcontractorsandprojectteamstoensurethefinancial aspectsoftheprojectmeetexpectations.
Reporting: Provideregular reports on costforecasts, actualexpenditures, andpotential financial risks to project managers and senior stakeholders.
Cost Control: Ensure that project costs remain within budget, identify cost-saving opportunities, and track all changes to the initial scope.
Final Accounts: Overseethepreparationandsettlementoffinalaccountsatproject completion.
Qualifications and Skills: Education: Adegreein Quantity Surveying, Construction Management,orarelated discipline.
Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of experience working as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
Experienceinbothpreandpost-contractrolesishighlydesirable.
Professional Accreditation: Membership of a recognised professional body, such as the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland (SCSI) or Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), is preferred but not essential.
Knowledge: Strong knowledge of construction processes, costs, contracts, and regulations within the Irish market.
Skills: Proficientin Microsoft Office,particularly Excel.
