Job Title: Registered Veterinary Nurse
Location: Dublin, Ireland
Salary: 30,000 - 38,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Hours:
* Option 1: 4 days per week, 10 hours per day
* Option 2: 5 days per week, 8 hours per day
Weekend Work: 1 weekend in every 5 weeks, with a day off before and a day off after the weekend.
The Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a great team for an independent Veterinary Hospital in Dublin.The successful candidate will be a key member of the nursing team, providing high-quality care to their patients and supporting their veterinary surgeons.
Responsibilities:
* Providing excellent nursing care to animal patients.
* Assisting veterinarians during consultations and surgical procedures.
* Monitoring anaesthesia.
* Administering medications and treatments.
* Performing diagnostic tests (e.g., blood tests, urinalysis).
* Taking radiographs.
* Preparing animals for surgery.
* Maintaining accurate patient records.
* Providing compassionate care to patients and their owners.
* Assisting with reception duties as needed.
* Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
* Adhering to all relevant veterinary regulations and standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Must be a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) and registered with the Veterinary Council of Ireland (VCI).
* Ideally experienced RVN butNew graduates are welcome to apply.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Strong organizational and time-management skills.
* A genuine passion for animal care.
* Ability to work well under pressure.
* Competent in all aspects of general nursing duties.
