Squarespace is seeking an Intranet Specialist to oversee the implementation and ongoing management of our new intranet platform which will be a digital home for company news, engaging content, and amplification of our strategy, vision and values.
You will manage the end-to-end intranet experience from strategy to user experience to oversight and measurement and help manage intranet content, ensuring that it is accurate, relevant, and engaging for employees. You will also collaborate with HR technology, operations, and partners across the organization to gather feedback, prioritize updates, and increase adoption of the intranet as a centralized source of truth.
You will possess a background in employee communications, with demonstrated strength in: intranet management, written and verbal skills, comfort with metrics and analytics reporting, and an appetite to build and experiment.
You will report into our Internal Communications Lead and sit on a team that includes internal and executive communications, talent brand, recruitment marketing, employee experience and events. This role can be a hybrid role, based in one of our office locations, or remote.
You'll Get To…
1. Manage the content strategy and user experience of our intranet platform.
2. Collaborate with partner teams to ensure a world class intranet that meets our needs and ensures a user-friendly experience.
3. Develop editorial calendars and maintain content schedules to ensure publication of intranet updates and announcements that keep employees informed.
4. Oversee the overarching information architecture, content quality, and editorial control across the intranet to ensure it is following our strategy and standards.
5. Work with a decentralized global network of content editors, coordinating their efforts while encouraging a collaborative and streamlined approach.
6. Provide training and support to content editors, ensuring they have the knowledge, tools, and skillset they need to contribute and maintain engaging and accurate content.
7. Design and implement intranet governance strategy, including content management, user access permissions, and version control.
8. Build relationships with, support, and influence partners at all levels, working with them to understand their needs and involve them in planning and finding solutions.
9. Monitor intranet usage metrics and analytics to assess performance, identify areas for improvement, and increase adoption across the company.
10. Conduct research to understand intranet user needs and propose solutions to enhance the functionality and usability of the intranet platform.
11. Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies in intranet management and employee communication.
Who We're Looking For…
1. 5+ years of experience in employee or internal communications or a related field is essential.
2. Prior experience with the Atlassian suite of products preferred.
3. Demonstrated experience overseeing company intranet platform or similar aspects of company-wide communications, including writing, managing, and measurement and evaluation.
4. Experience developing trusted relationships and influencing at all levels of an organization.
5. Penchant for organization and adept at planning, prioritizing, and pivoting.
6. Comfort with making decisions using data by identifying patterns, themes and trends, generating meaningful insights.
7. Excellent prioritization and understanding of what is and isn't urgent, with a focus on speedy execution.
