Job Description:
The TDS Veritas Platform is the cross-asset pricing and risk management platform for TD Securities. TDS Veritas is also the strategic storage and compute infrastructure for numerous business-aligned products used by front office users as well as risk management functions in the Investment Bank.
These products include many user-facing applications used for real-time risk, scenario risk, electronic trading, and scalable data analytics and are utilized by a variety of users including traders, desk managers, risk managers, and sales teams.
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our team in Dublin. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the platform capabilities and processes for our businesses.
You will be responsible for all aspects of the Veritas DevOps team operations and ensuring that the platform meets the highest standards of availability, reliability, scalability, and security.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage platform capabilities and processes to ensure the smooth functioning of the platform.
2. Collaborate with other members of the DevOps team and manage the delivery of platform changes, updates, and enhancements.
3. Ensure that the platform meets the highest standards of availability, reliability, scalability, and security.
4. Prepare and implement platform's monthly releases in a reliable, transparent, and secure manner.
5. Drive continuous improvement in platform capabilities, processes, and tools.
6. Establish and monitor key platform metrics to ensure that the platform is performing optimally.
7. Develop and maintain platform documentation, policies, and procedures.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
2. At least 5 years of experience in a DevOps role.
3. Minimum 5 years engineering experience, knowledge of JVM tunings.
4. Strong experience with DevOps/SRE practices (for continuous improvement).
5. Strong understanding of CI/CD and associated tools (Teamcity, Maven etc.).
6. Strong knowledge of Cloud Platform such as AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
7. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Desirable Skills and Experiences:
* Understanding of microservices architecture.
* Understanding of operations of cloud native apps.
* Understanding of API gateways & Service Mesh architectures.
* Experience with Security Audits - Penetration tests - Security certifications - ISO 27000 / PCI.
* Knowledge of Cloud Platforms such as AWS/GCP/Azure.
* JIRA / Confluence.
