Our Fermoy, Ireland, facility is FDA registered and certified to ISO for the manufacture of high-quality PCBAs, subassemblies and complete devices up to and including Class III medical devices. Sanmina Fermoy’s core specialization is manufacturing automation. We provide services for the entire product lifecycle from New Product Introduction (NPI), prototyping and process validation to complex volume manufacturing & test, shipping and repair. We create a state-of-the-art environment for manufacturing medical and other high-quality devices. ENGINEERING LEAD - Packaging Lines
OBJECTIVES OF POSITION:
1. Supervise and lead a Team of Engineers and Technicians as required.
2. Develop key Manufacturing Engineering Procedures and Processes
3. Develop the Technical Expertise of the Team
4. Drive Operational Excellence through Engineering Activities within the Team.
5. Achieve Output and Yield targets for assigned Production Lines
RESPONSIBILITIES:
6. Manage, Mentor and Develop technical resources
7. Monitor Machine Performance in real time to maximize production output and deliver demand and yield targets
8. Develop, drive and support Projects as required
9. Identify areas for Process Improvement
10. Support and lead new product builds as required.
11. Procedure and system updates Implementation for designated products/lines.
12. Provide Design for Manufacture (DFM) input on New Product Developments as required
13. Liaise with Equipment Suppliers and perform Machine Acceptance Tests
14. Liaise with other Departments on Machine / Process Operation, Safety and Environment
15. Attend Customer Visits and present on Performance and Process Improvements
16. Produce and manage Training Plan for the Team
17. Produce capacity plans for products through manufacturing process
Quality:
18. Assure ongoing compliance with Quality and Industry Regulatory requirements
Health & Safety:
19. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety Legislation and Regulations.
MEASUREMENTS:
20. Safety, Quality, Demand and Yield targets for assigned Production Lines
21. Performance Improvements in the above
22. Development of Procedures and Processes
23. Completion of Tasks/Projects against set objectives in Performance Review
24. Completion of In-house Training Program
PERSONNEL SPECIFICATIONS
ESSENTIAL:
25. NFQ Level 8 in Engineering or lower level degree with suitable experience
26. 5+ years experience in a similar Engineering Role in a Production Environment.

29. Good communication and influencing skills
30. People management and development skills
