Purpose of the Role
* Manage the customer demand forecast to support the Business Target of +98% service level into our customers via increased forecast accuracy and communication with the Sales, Procurement & Operational teams
Role Responsibilities
* Own daily retailer volume forecasts with support from customer account managers for the next 4 weeks & weekly thereafter for a rolling 18 month period
* Improve forecast accuracy YOY by customer and category - targets to be agreed with line manager
* Support account managers during budgeting process to build a bottom up weekly forecast
* Support account managers with information regarding customer forecasts (where available) moves and highlight discrepancies (e.g customer forecast not captured promo / peak volumes)
* Work closely with the sales & procurement team to align on season & SKU code change overs taking flushes, shortages and promotional activity into account to ensure forecast is up to date
* Provide customer DSL and forecast accuracy summaries both weekly and monthly as part of the Sales & Marketing cycle (dependent on account)
* Support NAM's in the monthly S&OP cycle highlighting key variances in forecast vs actual and actions taken to remedy the variance and communicating accordingly to teams impacted
Key Skills
* Have excellent excel skills to analyse data
* Previous FMCG experience is a must
* Have a strong business acumen
* Have an orientation to people and developing relationships quickly
* Have a business development mindset
* Experience in fresh food supply chains - preferably produce
* Well organised
* High integrity
Preferable:
* Have 3 plus years of success working in demand forecasting / planning role
* Have strong powerpoint skills to support proposal
