Senior Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Occupational Therapist (OT) to join their multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents through assessment, intervention, and rehabilitation aimed at promoting independence, safety, and engagement in meaningful activities.
Responsibilities of Senior Occupational Therapist
* Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments for residents.
* Develop and implement individualised care and rehabilitation plans.
* Provide guidance on adaptations, assistive devices, and environmental modifications.
* Collaborate closely with nursing, physiotherapy, and other MDT members.
* Deliver training and education sessions for staff and families.
* Supervise and support junior OT staff and students where applicable.
* Maintain accurate, up-to-date clinical documentation and reports.
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives and service development.
Requirements of Senior Occupational Therapist
* CORU registration as an Occupational Therapist.
* Minimum 3 years post-qualification clinical experience.
* Proven experience in working with older adults or in residential care.
* Strong assessment and clinical reasoning skills.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
* Competence in risk assessment and manual handling strategies.
