Job Summary
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of quality control and assurance procedures, as well as experience in food manufacturing. They will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all company procedures and current legislation.
Key Responsibilities
* Liaise with technical departments of customers and suppliers to ensure smooth operations.
* Manage and oversee quality control and quality assurance functions from end-to-end process.
* Maintain Quality Management Systems and HACCP system adhering to Company manufacturing standards, Food safety & Quality system standards.
* Review and report KPIs to management on a weekly/monthly basis, analysing trends and developing corrective actions.
* Investigate non-conformance, deviation, customer complaints, and implement corrective/preventive actions.
* Prepare and organise site for audits, resolving previous actions through cross-function teams.
* Ensure production samples are QC checked correctly and accurately against specifications.
Requirements
* Minimum four years' experience in food manufacturing.
* Food Science degree.
* BRC and Grocery Retail Food Standard experience essential.
* Food Hygiene certificate (HACCP and internal auditing certificate desirable).
* Proficient in MS office.
* Previous experience of SAP desirable.
* Attention to detail and ability to understand standards and specifications.
* Disciplined adherence to standards and specifications set.
* Experience in supplier assurance programme/supplier auditing.
