We seek a proactive and experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the operations of Monaghan and Castlebar's multiple facilities. This role involves ensuring the efficient management and maintenance of facilities and promoting a safe and productive environment for all occupants.
Our client is a prominent organization with facilities spanning across Ireland. They are committed to maintaining high standards of operation and are looking for a Facility Manager to uphold these standards across their locations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the daily operations of multiple facilities, ensuring they are maintained to the highest standards.
* Develop and implement maintenance schedules for building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
* Manage a team of maintenance staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across all facilities.
* Coordinate with external contractors for specialized maintenance and repairs.
* Monitor and manage facility budgets, including forecasting and cost control.
* Implement energy-saving initiatives to reduce operational costs.
* Prepare and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and facility inspections.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for facility-related issues and emergencies.
Requirements:
* Relevant 3rd level qualification (e.g. Building Services Engineer, Facilities management or equivalent).
* Experience in tendering for services and project/contract management.
* 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role.
* Previous experience in a hands-on M&E role.
* Experience in facilities management or building services industry/consultancy.
* Expertise or familiarity with M&E, HVAC and refrigerated equipment.
* Familiarity with Building Management Systems.
* Experience in project management and overseeing the work of external contractors.
* Experience in building environmental/energy efficiency.
* Strong IT skills, including good working knowledge of a suite of MS Office applications (essential) and relevant facility management software, such as AutoCAD.
* Living in Ireland with the right to work in the Republic of Ireland.
* Visa and relocation packages are not provided.
Compensation and Benefits:
* The position offers a salary of €50,000.
* 25 days holiday.
