PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
1. Capitalising on the continued success of AG Ireland following the merger with Eugene F Collins in early 2022, our highly regarded Dublin Real Estate practice is looking to hire a motivated Managing Associate to provide exceptional legal advice and support to our expanding client base.
2. Thanks to a deep understanding of the real estate sector, the team pride themselves on the ability to provide comprehensive legal services to our clients. With a strong track record and an experienced team, they've built a reputation for delivering first class legal solutions that meets our clients' diverse needs.
3. From the outset this opportunity will provide a high level of client contact and the chance to play a pivotal role in supporting a range of commercial real estate matters, as the team continue to win larger and more complex cross boarder mandates.
THE TEAM
4. The Real Estate group is one of Addleshaw Goddard's largest, comprising of over 200 fee earners. In our Dublin office, the Real Estate team currently comprises 4 partners and circa 15 other fee earners.
5. The team places a high emphasis on their transactional expertise and bringing a commercial and business-oriented approach to a wide range of property matters.
6. Advising some of the biggest clients with across a range of sectors, the team's well established retail practice acts for household names including Zara, TKMAX, Hugo Boss, Vodafone. The team continues to grow, building a large renewable practice and expanding their Environmental & Sustainability offering. The team also regularly advise on large scale multi -jurisdictional transactions involving wider AG international offices and our Global Connect network of partner firms.
7. In delivering transactions we use the latest technology in conjunction with our in-house legal tech team, including the Orbital Witness and HighQ platforms in which all team members are trained. We encourage our team to think differently and to test the latest technology, including advances in generative AI.
8. Our team values proactive individuals who contribute to our firm's growth. All team members participate in business development efforts including networking events, building relationships with potential clients, and contributing to our marketing initiatives.
WHAT TO EXPECT IN THIS ROLE
9. Supporting the management of matters involving the roll-out of leases for our retail clients, utilising the latest legal technology and working closely with our Paralegal group and junior team members in large scale M&A transactions and loan sales.
10. Supporting our international investment group on inward property investments relating to offices, logistics parks and shopping centres
11. Supporting our Finance team within their lending transactions.
12. Working collaboratively as a cohesive team, to execute high-value client matters to the highest standard.
13. Working closely with existing clients to maintain and develop relationships, acting as a trusted advisor capable of providing timely and quality advice whilst managing expectations.
YOUR AREAS OF KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE
To be successful in this role, you will:
14. Have at least 5 years + experience within commercial property and Real Estate matters, seeking a challenging and interesting role.
15. Have enthusiasm, resilience, and ambition to find solutions to clients' legal challenges and requirements.
16. Be a confident stakeholder manager, with evidenced experience of engaging with internal and external stakeholders of all levels.
17. Adopt a consultative and thorough approach to tasks.
18. Maintain efficient diary and task management across a range matters, ensuring the accuracy and levels of client service expected within a high performing team.
19. Be confident in drafting clear and legally effective documents, which reflect the client's instructions.
20. Remain calm and optimistic in time sensitive situations or under pressure.
21. Be enthusiastic about the development of your legal skill set and continuous learning.
22. Be inquisitive and want to understand our clients, their drivers and what matters to them, so that your advice has quality, imagination, and impact.
