We are excited to partner with a leading medical device company in their search for an experienced Buyer.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate who thrives on negotiating prices, achieving cost targets, and developing key supplier relationships globally.
Key Responsibilities:
* Implement cost-saving initiatives to achieve value for money.
* Conduct performance reviews of current suppliers and source new potential suppliers aligned with the objectives of the category.
* Identify invoice discrepancies and take necessary steps to resolve the problem.
* Maintain accurate records of items/services purchased, costs, delivery, travel patterns, product quality/performance, and inventories.
* Process purchase requests by accessing databases and assigning numbers to orders for tracking purposes.
Key Requirements:
* 3+ years of experience in a similar buying role within a manufacturing environment.
* A degree in a related field (Business, Supply Chain, or other).
* APICS qualification (or studying towards) is an advantage.
* SAP experience is essential.
