Job Title:
Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) in Ambulatory Gynaecology
Summary:
The ANP/AMP post is responsible for delivering comprehensive patient care in Ambulatory Gynaecology, demonstrating advanced practical and theoretical knowledge and critical thinking skills. The role involves leading clinical practice and health policy development at various levels.
Responsibilities:
* Undertake and document a complete episode of patient care in an accurate, timely, and complete manner, assessing, diagnosing, treating, and discharging patients.
* Provide professional and clinical leadership to develop practice and health policy at local, regional, and national levels.
* Lead, conduct, disseminate, and publish research to shape and advance practice, education, and policy, as well as the wider agenda.
* Develop clinical skills and knowledge to meet the criteria for registration as an ANP with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
Requirements:
* Eligibility: Be registered in the Advanced Nurse Practitioner division of the NMBI Register or be eligible to register by meeting the criteria for registration as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner.
* Clinical Experience: Possess a broad base of clinical experience relevant to the advanced field of practice.
* Competences: Demonstrate the competences relevant to the specialist area of advanced practice.
* Education: Have a Master's Degree (or higher) in Nursing or a Master's Degree relevant to the advanced field of practice, with educational preparation including at least three modular components pertaining to the relevant area of advanced practice, in addition to clinical practicum.
Post-Specific Requirements:
* Relevant Post-Registration Experience: Delivering gynaecology care/women's healthcare.
* Substantial Clinical Modular Components: Educational preparation must include substantial clinical modular components pertaining to Gynaecology.
* Prescribing Certificate: Have undertaken the prescribing certificate or commit to undertaking it as post holder.
* Continuing Education: Provide evidence of minimum 15 hours of continuing education for each year.

* Contraception Counselling/LARC Fitting.
* Abortion Care Experience.
* Vaginal Pessary Fitting Management.
* Professional Conflict Management.
* Service Development Participation.
* Policy/Procedure Guidelines Development.
* Presentation Skills.
* Published Articles/Poster/Oral Presentations at Professional Events.
