The Legal Counsel works as part of the Law Department to protect Vertiv business units, with particular focus on IP/Trademarks related matters by ensuring that terms and conditions used in transactions are acceptable to the business. Drafts and negotiate agreements (often directly with customers) relating to the sale of products, professional services, and software licensing to ensure agreements are clearly defined, documented, and in agreement with Vertiv’s guidelines. Assist and support the EMEA Law Department in a wide range of legal issues, related in particular to IP/Trademarks matters and E&I business. Further the Legal Counsel will work with members of other corporate departments, business units and outside counsel.
What kind of work will you be doing?
• Work under supervision of a Senior member of the Law Dept to provide timely review, analysis, drafting, interpretation and negotiation of contracts and other documents with external parties in line with company policies and objectives.
• Assist Vertiv in respect of support for any Intellectual Property / Trademark matters that may arise.
• Provides counsel and advises Company management on legal issues, compliance and risk management (contracts, claims, litigation, legal changes, legal compliance and others), possible impact to Company.
• Anticipates and mitigates potential legal problems within the organization and mitigates risk to avoid claims and litigation
• Conducts legal analysis, research and reviews on a variety of legal issues, national and international laws, and risk evaluation.
• Provides support for other governance and compliance activities as assigned

What Would Be the Perfect Qualifications?
• Qualification / Degree in Law.
• Minimum 2/3 years of experience.
• IT skills: Microsoft Office.
• Travel within the EMEA Region he/she might be requested to travel to meet other internal customers or to negotiate contracts with customers.
• Resource to be located in Northern Ireland.
