Clinical Nurse Manager Role
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Manager to join our team in a well-established employer within elderly care for our Dublin Nursing Home.
Responsibilities:
* To ensure the delivery of high standards of nursing and social care meeting individual resident needs by adhering to home policies and best clinical practices.
* Troubleshoot ongoing clinical and non-clinical issues, escalating to the Director of Nursing as necessary.
* Perform comprehensive resident assessments, monitor ongoing assessments, and make modifications as required.
* Supervise medication administration and compliance among nursing staff, ordering monthly stock and compiling inventory.
* Liaise with GPs and pharmacies regarding medication reviews and audits.
* Work alongside Staff Nurses and Care Assistants, providing visible leadership and participating in training and development/performance appraisal.
* Ensure direct care provided by Care Assistants is professional and of high standard, promoting a positive resident experience.
* Review recent admissions, ensuring documented assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
* Maintain environmental and hand hygiene standards, fostering effective working relationships between Staff Nurses, Care Assistants, and housekeeping staff.
* Interact and support residents and families daily, serving as a key point of contact for relatives and visitors.
* Resolve complaints promptly at the point of contact.
* Manage daily activities, including roster checking, attending handovers, reviewing resident progress, and implementing Company Health and Safety Policy.
* Support and develop clinical practice through hands-on approach with Staff Nurses and Care Assistants.
Requirements:
* BSc in General Nursing or equivalent qualification.
* Dementia experience desirable.
* Previous managerial training/experience advantageous.
* Registration on NMBI live register.
