Job Role:
To become a vital part of our multidisciplinary engineering team, helping drive Mbryonics' testing goals for optical communications telescopes.
1. Deliver self-motivated results on testing campaigns like thermal cycling and thermal balance tests, as well as vibration tests.
2. Develop and implement test plans, collating results from experiments and tests.
3. Design or collaborate with mechanical engineers to create testing accessories, such as adaptor plates, shrouds, ground support equipment, packaging, etc.
4. Conduct hands-on testing with in-house shakers, TVAC chambers, and prepare test setups for the same.
5. Continuously develop and improve engineering practices and procedures within our scaling-up environment.
6. Create innovative solutions for and enhance existing test support systems through creative inputs and leveraging past experiences.
7. Rapidly iterate on process development and testing using a mix of hands-on approaches and analytical modeling, driving progress in product development across disciplines.
8. Work with managers and supervisors to establish quality measures and standards, aiming to scale up to high-volume manufacturing.
Required Technical Skills/Education:
1. Minimum 2 years of experience in testing and test setup within manufacturing or related engineering fields.
2. Basic knowledge of commercial CAD packages.
3. Understanding of early-stage prototyping and product development.
4. Familiarity with common testing processes for space applications, including TVAC, shock, and vibration testing equipment.
Desired Technical Skills/Education:
1. Familiarity with current testing environments and equipment for space launch and operations.
2. Knowledge of or interest in the space sector.
3. Active engagement in the field of engineering and continuous professional development.
4. Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
5. Will to roll up sleeves and take initiative under tight deadlines.
6. Proven problem-solving abilities with a strong interest in decision-making roles in Test Engineering.
