Software Development Engineer in Test
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our client based in Athlone, Westmeath.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and specifications.
* Design, implement, and execute test plans to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications.
* Conduct functional, regression, and performance testing to identify and resolve issues promptly.
* Work closely with developers to understand code changes and perform code reviews.
* Utilize your expertise in Java development to contribute to the automation of test cases.
* Write automation scripts to trigger Batch processing data and verify entries in Oracle databases.
* Document test cases, test results, and defects to facilitate communication and issue resolution.
* Participate in Agile/Scrum methodologies, providing valuable input during sprint planning and retrospectives.
* 3+ years of proven experience in Quality Assurance and software testing.
* Strong proficiency in Java development with a focus on test automation.
* Experience with both manual and automation testing with a strong knowledge of SQL for Database testing.
* Familiarity with Kafka and OpenShift technologies is highly desirable.
