We're now entering an exciting new phase of growth and are looking for a Commercial Director to play a key role in building our brand as Ireland's premier executive search firm.
The Opportunity:
As Commercial Director, you will be responsible for expanding our client base, deepening existing relationships, and driving commercial outcomes across the firm.
This is a high-impact leadership role, ideal for a proven B2B sales or commercial professional from a services background.
You'll work closely with the senior leadership team to shape the firm's go-to-market strategy, win high-value mandates, and help build communities and brand presence within our core sectors.

Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a strategic commercial plan to drive revenue growth in Ireland and internationally Build and maintain deep, long-term relationships with existing clients, identifying opportunities for continued partnership Proactively identify and engage prospective clients, converting them into long-term search partners Win retained executive search mandates across key sectors (financial services, legal, tech, professional services, etc.)
Collaborate with consultants and researchers to shape high-quality pitches and proposals Represent the firm at industry events and host roundtables, networking sessions, and thought leadership initiatives Build sector-based communities and help position Phoenix as the go-to executive search partner in Ireland Provide market insight and client feedback to help shape service offerings and brand strategy Report on pipeline activity and commercial performance to the senior leadership team Qualifications:
8+ years' experience in a senior commercial, sales, or client-facing role within a B2B services environment (e.g., recruitment, consulting, legal, or financial services) Proven track record of winning and managing high-value client relationships Strong network and understanding of Ireland's business landscape, especially in professional or financial services Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills Strategic thinker with strong commercial instincts and execution ability Confident representing a premium brand and engaging with senior stakeholders Entrepreneurial mindset, collaborative style, and high levels of personal drive Degree-qualified or equivalent experience Seniority level Mid-Senior level
