As a member of the Core File Services Group (CFSG) at NetApp, you will be part of a team of highly talented people who are experts at industry standard storage protocols, caching, data management and data protection solutions. CFSG contributes to the core technology stack that makes NetApp an industry leader in the NAS business. The feature rich protocols stacks combined with anti-ransomware, data security and data availability technologies provide class leading features and value to our customers. As a result, our technology is used in mission critical applications across the world. We also provide value to our customers through our integrations with all the major hyperscalers. You will be part of a team whose work directly impacts the trust our customers have placed in Netapp solutions for their reliability, performance, scalability, and availability.

They will bring broad experience across multiple domains including embedded systems, operating sysetms, storage technologies and distributed systems.
Job Requirements
Responsibility:
The individual will be responsible for non-routine and unstructured tasks, requiring creative solutions with more inter-dependencies and with processes that are less defined. He/she will provide technical leadership for the team(s) they are associated with and participate in key technical decisions. They will engage with product management on roadmaps and influence architectural choices to ensure the required business outcomes are achieved. They will engage with customers on escalations and ensure that there is continuous improvement in all areas under their technical purview to deliver maximum value to our customers.
Essential Functions:
* Participate in technical discussions within the team and with other groups within Business Units associated with specified projects
* Participate in the technical aspect of stakeholder management for their team
* Responsible for providing guidance in development and testing activities of other engineers that involve several inter-dependencies
* Participate in critical and/or high visibility customer support
* Work on multiple tasks and responsibilities that will contribute towards team, department, and company goals
* Day to day tasks
* Technical Design
* Coding and Execution of projects
* Test Automation
* Debugging/Performance analysis
* Running PoCs and R&D activities
* Enforce best practices for software design and development by involving in appropriate reviews
* Strong aptitude for learning new technologies
* Resourceful in applying creative ideas to solve problems
Qulifications
* 12+ years of relevant experience
* A Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
* Excellent coding skills in C/C++ and in depth understanding of kernel fundamentals
* A strong understanding of concepts related to computer architecture, data structures and programming practices
* 5-years of kernel programming experience
* Experience with Networking and file/cloud protocols
* In-depth understanding of Embedded systems and File systems
* Strong oral and written communication skills
