Overall Purpose of the Job
The EHS Specialist will support the company's EHS management system, providing technical expertise on environmental, health and safety systems to ensure compliance with regulations, guidelines and best practices.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Support the HSEQ Manager in maintaining and enhancing customer confidence through the application of the company's EHS management systems.
* Conduct risk assessments of work activities and provide support to managers to carry out risk assessments.
* Create method statements for work activities and review contractor method statements for accuracy.
* Ensure compliance with company EHS management system and legislation through regular audits.
* Promote the dynamic risk assessment program '5 Seconds for Myself' and monitor near miss, accident and incident reporting.
Person Specification
* A hands-on approach to EHS is required, with a strong focus on qualifications and experience.
* NFQ Level 8 qualification in EHS is essential, along with 3+ years' experience in a life science facility.
* iOSH membership and Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor qualification are desirable.
* Strong English language skills are required, as well as knowledge of Irish EHS regulations and best practices.
