Job Summary
The Duty Manager plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of the hotel and all departments on a day-to-day basis, delivering the highest standard of customer service.
Key Responsibilities
* Arrive at work on time, dressed in the correct uniform, adhering to company grooming policy and standards.
* Liaise with the previous shift manager upon arrival and conduct a handover to the next shift manager at the end of the shift.
* Communicate with the General Manager regarding the day-to-day running of the hotel.
* Offer support, supervision, and proactive assistance to various departments, including F&B, reception, and accommodation.
* Provide guests with information about hotel services, such as opening hours for the Bar and Restaurant, internet access, luggage assistance, etc.
* Assume responsibility for assigned duties and ensure the smooth running of all departments, maintaining high standards of customer care through ongoing training.
* In conjunction with management colleagues, monitor departmental staffing levels to meet budget and service standards.
* Participate in weekly stock counts in designated departments (laundry, alcohol, food, cutlery/crockery) as assigned by the General Manager.
* Address customer complaints in a professional and courteous manner on a shift-by-shift basis.
* Attend meetings and training sessions as required.
* Comply with company regulations regarding fire safety, health, hygiene, security, and adhere to routine fire walks and security checks according to company policy.
* Ensure all cash handling procedures are followed.
* May be required to perform duties in other areas of the hotel as needed.
* Comply with any reasonable requests made by management.
* Maintain HACCP systems and complete tasks on your shift.
