Business Manager Job Description
We are recruiting a Grade VII Business Manager for the Midland Regional Hospital Portlaoise.
Job Purpose:
The purpose of this post is to manage administrative and clerical aspects of patient services departments, ensuring efficient delivery of services to patients.
Essential Requirements:
* Strategic Direction, Service Planning & Development:
o Provide information and reports to Senior Management Team as appropriate.
o Collaborate with Consultants, Clinical Director, Director of Nursing, and Heads of Service to ensure high-quality services.
* Human Resource/Supervision of Staff:
o Supervise team members and review completion of assignments.
o Ensure compliance with Managing Attendance policy and other HSE policies.
o Create a positive working environment among staff members.
* Administration:
o Ensure efficient administration of area of responsibility.
o Delegate responsibility and authority appropriately.
* Change Management:
o Promote and participate in change implementation.
o Identify inequities/inefficiencies and implement solutions to improve service delivery.
* Health & Safety:
o Maintain knowledge of HIQA Standards.
o Adhere to relevant HSE policies and procedures.
This role requires experience of managing staff, drafting reports, and implementing standards. The successful candidate will have strong administration, human resources, change management, and health and safety skills.
