The role is highly varied, with a broad range of important contemporary topics investigated.
This includes analysing and formulating a view on topics such as Ireland's housing crisis, the impact of remote working on the office market, the effect of higher interest rates on investment values, as well as the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) trends.
The role and responsibilities of the candidate will be dictated by their experience and skills but over time can be expected to include: Undertaking market research into Ireland's commercial and residential real estate markets Data collection and robust interrogation of public and in-house data sources Having a good understanding of economic and financial markets - both at a local and global level - and how they relate to investment and occupational real estate trends in Ireland Providing support to our transactional teams through the collection and provision of market information and presentations Act in an advisory capacity to investor and developer clients with regards to market analysis Commercial and academic research into the property market in Ireland to include consultancy projects for private and public clients Forecasting key market variables to include rents and prices to form house view Analysing investment cash flows to understand market pricing dynamics Formulating interesting insights and able to communicate them in a persuasive manner Collaborate with other members of the global research and strategy teams Presenting to high-level domestic and international clients Ability to distil a clear signal from complex data, develop this into actionable insights, and communicate these simply and effectively to a wide variety of audiences Skills and qualifications
For Experienced Candidates:
Experience as a research analyst, investment analyst, economist or data analytics at a high level preferred Experience does not necessarily have to be from the real estate sector, analytical experience gained in other market and economic contexts will also be considered Evidence of translating data analysis into insightful research in a clear and engaging fashion Experience in the analysis of public policy relating to the housing market will be looked up favourably Advanced excel skills strongly desired Experience in econometric modelling and forecasting in a commercial or academic setting valued Financial analysis skills such as the ability to analyse cashflows and expected returns will be looked upon favourably
For Graduates:
A relevant degree in property, economics, finance, or a related field Demonstrable ability to mix quantitative and qualitative expertise Strong academic and interpersonal skills Econometrics training a plus, as well as working knowledge of software packages such as Stata Key Personal Attributes Internalised sense of personal responsibility for the highest quality standards Well-organised with exceptionally high level of attention to detail Embrace a fast-paced and dynamic business environment while simultaneously advancing long-term strategic objectives Adaptable and able to flex their agenda in accordance with business / client needs Analytical thinker with ability to bring others on-board though persuasive use of data and logic Working in an organisation that holds ethical behaviour and professional conduct as sacrosanct, the challenge will be to operate as part of a fast-paced high energy team, be capable of performing at a high level whilst committing to an ethos of continuous personal and professional development.
