Clinical Nurse Specialist in Mental Health Intellectual Disability

Role Description:
The Clinical Nurse Specialist in Mental Health Intellectual Disability (CNS MHID) is a member of the Cheeverstown MDT team, providing direct specialist nursing care to individuals with dual diagnosis of Intellectual Disability and mental health diagnosis.
* Provide direct specialist nursing care to individuals with dual diagnosis of Intellectual Disability and mental health diagnosis.
* Be a registered RNID or RPN on the NMBI register of Nurses and Midwives.
* A minimum of three years post registration experience, including two years in the specialised MHID area.
* Have undertaken formal recognised post registration education in Mental Health, Positive behaviour support or a related area at Higher Diploma level or equivalent.
* Demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* An in-depth knowledge and understanding of mental health and the healthcare needs of people with Intellectual Disability.
* A full clean driving licence and access to a car.
