With manufacturing facilities in Victoria (Epping & Maryborough), New South Wales (Kirrawee), Queensland (Nerang), South Australia (Dublin) and multiple sales and distribution offices Nationally, due to continued business growth, an excellent opportunity now exists for an accomplished and well experienced Quality Assurance professional, to become our new QA Supervisor / Coordinator of our main site located in Epping, VIC.

The Opportunity:
Reporting to our Quality Manager, this new senior opportunity will see your responsibilities be wide ranging with some of the main tasks for this role being (but not limited to):
* Monitoring compliance and facilitating improvements to the SQF/ HACCP / Food Safety program including writing procedures.
* Formulating the sampling procedures and designs and develop forms and instructions for recording, evaluating and reporting quality and reliability data.
* Utilisation of production tracking and quality control systems, analysing production, quality control, maintenance and other operational reports, to detect and resolve production problems.
* Establish and monitor production standards, examining samples of raw product or directing testing during processing, to ensure finished products are of prescribed quality.
* Study operations sequence, material flow, functional statements, organisational charts and project information to determine worker functions and responsibilities as they relate to quality.
* Being a proactive member of the QA team to ensure open communication and to develop/recommend improvements of facilities, equipment, or procedures to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.
* Organising and conducting team meetings, providing technical support to the staff/team members where required.
* Acting on behalf of the Quality Manager in his absence and much more.
Who we are looking for:
Ideally, to be considered for this role, you will already be in an in-house Quality role within the Foodservice, Beverage or FMCG manufacturing industries, or be looking to take that next step in your career based on a solid track record of Quality Assurance to date. To therefore be considered for this opportunity, we are seeking to hear from applicants who possess:
* Bachelor of Food Science and Technology qualifications.
* 5+ years’ experience in Quality Assurance gained from career experience specifically within the Food Industry in Australia.
* Essential experience in SQF, HACCP, Food Safety Management Systems, Internal & External Auditing.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong knowledge of Food microbiology related food safety and quality.
* High Energy and highly motivated.
* A pragmatic approach to problem solving and decision making.
* Proven skills and experience in people leadership and the expertise to develop a positive culture and motivate a team.
* Proven planning, problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to work through issues with moderate complexity and guide and/or coach others in the resolution of problems.
