With our hands at work across all aspects of health, we use the most advanced development tools, AI, data science and innovative approaches to make the healthcare system work better for everyone.Schedule: Full-time position with standard working hours of Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm.Location: Optum office in Dublin (Hybrid, 2-3 days per week in office)Primary Responsibilities:Develop, maintain, and optimize full-stack web applications (React + Node.js)Design and manage database schemas (Postgres, MSSQL, or MySQL) for efficient data storage and retrievalCollaborate with UX experts to create responsive, intuitive interfaces using React-based design systemsImplement containerization (e.g., Docker) and CI/CD pipelines for streamlined deploymentsWrite and maintain comprehensive tests (unit: Jest, end-to-end: Cypress)Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, fix bugs, and address feature requestsMentor at least one junior developer, fostering best practices in coding and Agile workflowsRequired Qualifications:Proficiency in React for building complex UI applicationsIntermediate level of knowledge in at least one SQL database (Postgres, MSSQL, or MySQL)Hands-on experience with one or more React-based design systems (Material UI, AG Grid, Bootstrap, etc.)Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design techniquesExpertise in building and consuming RESTful APIs and web servicesFamiliarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and writing tests (Jest, Cypress)Preferred Qualifications:Understanding and hands-on use of Git (version control) in a collaborative environmentExperience working in an Agile environment (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)Experience with SSO, 2FA, RBAC, or SOX complianceContributions to open-source projects or a strong project portfolioSoft Skills:Communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skillsPlease note you must currently be eligible to work and remain indefinitely without any restrictions in the country to which you are making an application.
