Job Description
The Commis Chef is responsible for the production of food in the kitchen, ensuring constant innovation and variety of dishes, as well as adherence to Food Safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
The Commis Chef will work as part of a team in different catering outlets, preparing food for a lively customer café, restaurant, and Hospitality events. Key responsibilities include:
* Preparing all menu items with full knowledge of ingredients and preparation methods
* Collaborating with the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef on food production management to minimize wastage and maintain high food hygiene and health standards
* Maintaining accurate records of food levels, quality, and brand standards
* Providing excellent customer service and adhering to Aramark's standards
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a Food Production role within catering or retail
* Good level of spoken English
* Works well under supervision with the ability to take direction
* Self-motivated, adaptable, and a good communicator
* Able to prioritize workload and delegate tasks effectively
* Quality-focused and an effective team worker
* Understanding of basic catering finances, including costing, production, yields, and wastage
