Restaurant Manager Opportunity at the 4*Court Yard Hotel, Leixlip, Co. Kildare. The Court Yard Hotel is part of the Moriarty Group, which is an Irish owned company, involved in both the retail grocery and hotel industries. The company owns three large Super Valu, Stores in Balbriggan, Skerries and Palmerstown and two 4* hotels, the Courtyard Hotel, Leixlip, Co. Kildare and the Bracken Court Hotel in Balbriggan, Co. Dublin. The company currently employees 550 staff. We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Restaurant Manager to join our food service team. The Role: This is a full-time position working an average of 45 hours per week, 5 days over 7 to include weekends and public holidays. Main Duties: Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the restaurant department of the hotel breakfast, lunch, dinner and events. Working closely with the kitchen team on food service standards and quality. Working closely with the Food & Beverage Manager and Head Chef on menu planning. Duty Management Shifts. Managing a team of 8-10 staff. Staff training and development. Rostering. Department Financials. Stock ordering. HACCP duties. General food service duties. Providing excellent customer care to our guests at all times. Requirements: Must have 2 to 3 years experience in a similar role with a 3-4 * hotel or busy restaurant/food premises. This experience is essential and candidates who do not have this experience unfortunately cannot be considered for the role. Must be HACCP trained. Must be fluent in the English Language both written and spoken. Must be enthusiastic and a quick learner. Must be able to multi-task and be willing to help out where required in all areas of the hotel. Must have excellent food industry knowledge. Must have a excellent food service knowledge. Excellent communications skills. Excellent people skills. Must be able to work as part of a team and on own initiative. Must be available for early starts, day shifts and late finishes.
