IT Systems Administrator
* Fixed Term, direct with our client
* Mountmellick & Portlaoise, Laois (Fully On-site)
* 8.30 am – 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday
Role Overview:
As the IT Systems Administrator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our IT infrastructure to support the company’s operations. This on-site position requires a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a strong background in IT systems administration.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain the company’s IT infrastructure, including servers, Microsoft 365, networks, and hardware.
* Support key IT, OT, and labelling systems for manufacturing.
* Provide technical support to end-users and troubleshoot IT-related issues, including Microsoft 365 applications, network access.
* Ensure the security and integrity of data, systems, and networks.
* Implement and monitor backup and recovery.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement IT projects and upgrades.
* Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend solutions to improve efficiency.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience as an IT Systems Administrator or a similar role.
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, and Exchange.
* Experience with administration and troubleshooting of firewalls and networks.
* Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Education and Certifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.
* Relevant certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, or equivalent.
Nice to Have Experience: The ideal candidate may have additional experience in the following areas:
* ERP systems.
* Power BI
* PowerApps
* Change Management and Training.
