About the post The primary role of the post holder is to pro-actively co-ordinate, administer and manage the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery activities, and to work closely with the Executive Dean, and the Dean and Officers of the Board to discharge its functions. Job Responsibilities Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administrative operations and coordination of the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery activities. Support the Executive Dean, Dean and Board Members in discharging the functions of the Board as required. Responsible for the supervision of the administration staff in the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery office. Support the Executive Dean in relation to Audit and Finance and liaise with the finance department. Support the Executive Dean in relation to Business planning, implementation and review. Attending relevant committee meetings as directed by the Executive Dean. Support the Executive Dean in managing and coordinating the operations of the Faculty. Support the Dean/Board and EA to the Board in assuring Board management compliance. Working with the administration team, Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery leadership and academic staff to plan and deliver the strategic objectives of the Faculty, both short and long term. Support the execution of the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery strategic plan. Coordinate all data to assure the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery meets its strategic and operational objectives. Coordinate the strategic action plan dashboard. Coordinate the stakeholder engagement plan. Coordinate internal staff meetings. Managing the operational efficiency, coordination and delivery of all educational, training and professional development programmes. Overseeing administration management, development and support processes. Developing and implementing robust market engagement, stakeholder management, quality management and communications processes. Supporting the Executive Dean in the development and management of budgets as well as the annual business planning processes. Developing strong trust-based relationships with key healthcare, policy, regulatory and clinical stakeholders. Managing administrative staff and support services, including ICT staff where required. Liaise with RCSI ICT staff, where appropriate, to ensure compatibility and compliance with RCSI IT Policies. Organise an efficient handover/transition to the returning post-holder. Knowledge & Experience - (Essential): Team Leader - works collaboratively with others to maximise individual and team effectiveness to achieve required service levels. Stakeholder focused. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Experience of Microsoft office suite essential. Tech / IT literate including experience of Moodle, MS Teams Zoom etc. Good organisational skills and the ability to demonstrate initiative and situational leadership. Good written and verbal communication and reporting capability. Manages tasks and time and prioritises courses of action to achieve faculty objectives and deadlines. Learns quickly and responds effectively to changing needs and circumstances. Puts forward own ideas and recommendations to the management team and Board. Solving every-day student and staff issues by quickly identifying possible corrective measures and recommending/ selecting the best solution with the best team member.
