We are now looking to recruit an Accommodation Manager to join our Housekeeping Team at The Moxy Hotel (part of Marriott and MHL Hotel Collection).
The 4* Moxy Hotel is creatively designed to maximize light and space and is known for the great care we take with clients and employees alike. It is surrounded by a number of high-profile international companies in Dublin, as well as exclusive venues, and is close to Dublin's best attractions such as Dundrum Town Centre, Leopardstown Racecourse, and Dublin’s picturesque coastal towns of Dun Laoghaire, Wicklow, and Bray.
The MHL Hotel Collection is the second largest hotel group in Dublin city, with over 1,150 bedrooms across well-known 5 & 4-star brands, as well as a number of unique and individual hotels in key city locations throughout Ireland. Responsibilities:
* Ensure that you receive a handover briefing at the beginning of your shift to be aware of any events or special requirements.
* Carry out room checks to ensure that Housekeeping standards are followed at all times.
* Monitor and oversee the Hotel laundry to ensure that output meets needs.
* Ensure adequate staffing in all areas.
* Deal with all VIP customers, ensuring their rooms are checked and that they have all the requested requirements.
* Ensure that all checklists and reports are completed by the relevant person before the end of the shift.
* Keep Housekeeping storerooms and any areas used by Housekeeping clean and tidy at all times.
* Ensure all public areas are cleaned and well maintained.
* Manage all lost property, including logging and following up with guest queries.
* Complete a handover at the end of your shift to ensure awareness of any issues that need to be followed up.
* Manage the payroll system Alkimii, ensuring rostering targets are met.
* Follow high levels of security regarding the control of master keys and guest bedrooms.
* Maintain an up-to-date maintenance log, prioritizing issues and assigning tasks to the Maintenance Department.
* Identify opportunities for resources and facilities to be shared between properties and implement best practices.
* Participate actively in all elements of the recruitment of departmental employees.
* Conduct regular appraisals with staff.
* Ensure effective planning of staff holidays and lieu time.
* Establish and maintain the highest standards of cleanliness in all rooms and public areas.
* Create routine cleaning plans to maintain all furniture, fittings, carpets, and coverings at the highest standard.
* Ensure high standards of linen are maintained and that regular supply is ensured.
* Ensure effective communication with Front Office departments to support maximum efficiency of both bedroom letting and servicing.
Minimum Requirements:
* Previous experience as an Accommodation Manager.
* “Hands-on” and “can-do” approach to work with a strong work ethic.
* Currently resident in Ireland.
* Fluent English is essential - ability to converse with our guests and colleagues.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Excellent Customer Service skills.
* Ability to work in a busy environment.
* Be a Team Player.
* Flexible - able to work full-time hours, early mornings, late shifts, public holidays, and weekends.
* Knowledge of Opera is an advantage.
* Marriott experience is desirable.
