Health & Safety Manager Job Summary:
A Health & Safety Manager is required for a manufacturing client based in the Kildare area. This permanent role offers excellent benefits.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
* Risk Management & Compliance:
o Identify and mitigate safety risks through inspections, risk assessments, and compliance with regulatory and company standards.
* Safety Culture Leadership:
o Promote and develop a proactive safety culture by leading awareness campaigns, training sessions, and toolbox talks for employees and managers.
* Incident Response & Reporting:
o Investigate incidents to identify root causes, implement action plans, and ensure accurate documentation and reporting on safety metrics.
* Health & Safety Systems:
o Implement and maintain the H&S management system, safety statements, and documentation to ensure operational excellence and legal compliance.
* Team Collaboration & Training:
o Partner with site management and teams to continuously improve safety standards while delivering engaging training programs and practical safety solutions.
Requirements:
* Minimum of 5 years in H&S management or supervisory roles, ideally in manufacturing, with a proven track record of driving safety culture & implementing effective systems.
* NEBOSH, QQI, or equivalent diploma-qualified, and a technical member of IOSH (or equivalent).
* Confidence in applying H&S legislation to fit organizational systems is essential.
Desirable Skills:
* Hands-On Leadership: Energetic and engaging communicator who thrives on the floor, partnering with operations to create practical, impactful safety solutions.
* Adaptable Problem-Solver: Capable of interpreting legislation and aligning it with business systems while enhancing established standards.
* Experience managing both H&S and Environmental responsibilities is a plus.
* Collaborative & Proactive: A confident leader with a strong partnership approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to deliver training, drive engagement, and build a proactive safety culture.
