The Role
Hanley Energy is seeking an experienced and dynamic Talent Acquisition Manager to join our Global HR team. This role is essential in managing both internal and external talent acquisition activities and establishing robust talent pools/pipelines to support business growth. The Talent Acquisition Manager will play a key role in recruiting top-tier talent, especially in the electrical and mechanical engineering space, with a specific focus on the Ireland and EMEA regions.
The Talent Acquisition Manager will report directly to the Global Head of HR.

As a pivotal position within the HR team, you will manage the full-cycle recruitment process, drive the creation of diverse candidate slates, and ensure that hiring managers are supported with qualified talent. You will also be responsible for shaping and executing sourcing and selection strategies in alignment with the company’s growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Talent Acquisition Strategy: Develop and implement hiring plans and strategies in collaboration with hiring managers and key stakeholders.
* Sourcing & Recruitment: Utilize various recruitment methods, including professional organizations, social media, community associations, and more, to source and attract top talent.
* Stakeholder Management: Influence and consult with hiring managers and senior leaders to establish clear recruitment strategies and timelines.
* Candidate Experience: Act as the primary communication point for candidates throughout the hiring process, ensuring a positive candidate experience from initial contact to offer acceptance.
* Team Leadership: Lead and manage the Talent Acquisition team, which includes a Talent Acquisition Specialist and a Sourcing Specialist. Conduct one-on-one meetings with team members, provide mentorship, and foster a collaborative, high-performance environment.
* Early Career Programs: Oversee the management of early career programs, apprenticeships, graduate schemes, and internship initiatives.
* Reporting & Data Utilization: Use data and analytics to assess talent trends, evaluate sourcing effectiveness, and report on key recruitment metrics.
* Collaboration with HR: Work closely with HR teams to align recruitment strategies with overall workforce planning and organizational development initiatives.
Who We Are Looking For
* Experience: At least 5+ years of agency or relevant in-house experience in sourcing top talent, specifically in the electrical and mechanical engineering industries in a leadership or senior position.
* Leadership Skills: Proven experience in leading a recruitment team, conducting one-on-one meetings, and managing the performance and development of team members.
* Proficiency: Strong knowledge of applicant tracking systems (ATS), ideally Workday, and proficiency in Sage for HR reporting and analytics.
* Results-Oriented: Demonstrated success in sourcing and hiring talent at scale, with a focus on quality and diversity.
* Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the complexities and trends in talent markets, particularly in the engineering space.
* Consultative Approach: Strong ability to partner with senior business leaders and hiring managers to drive recruitment strategy and influence hiring decisions.
* Communication: Excellent communication skills, able to engage with candidates and stakeholders at all levels effectively.
* Flexibility: Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment, juggling multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
* Behavioral Interviewing: Knowledge of behaviour-based interviewing techniques to assess candidates' fit.
* Technologically Savvy: Comfortable using MS Office and other HR software tools.
