Job Description
The Lead Mechanical Engineer plays a crucial role in managing the Main EPC Mechanical Contract and other assigned work scopes.
Working closely with cross-functional teams, the engineer ensures quality control, develops and implements Inspection & Test Plans, and monitors project progress.
Essential Requirements:
* Experience: Minimum 3+ years' post-qualification experience in the power generation industry. Proven expertise in planning and executing major power station overhauls, including logistics, procurement, and contractor management. Hands-on experience with power plant mechanical equipment, such as pumps, motors, and valves.
* Qualifications: Engineer-level 8 qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline (desirable).
* Additional Experience (Desirable): Experience with hydro power plant overhauls.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the Main EPC Mechanical Contract and other assigned work scopes.
* Ensure compliance with project protocols and statutory safety, health, and environmental regulations.
* Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure quality control and develop Inspection & Test Plans.
* Monitor project progress and conduct regular audits and reporting to maintain safety, environmental, and quality standards.
