Job Description
T&M Associates is seeking a highly motivated Environmental Engineer to join our Environmental team. This position is flexible with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing you to combine remote work with in-office collaboration at any of our offices (OH, NJ, IN, or PA).
As an Environmental Engineer at T&M Associates, you will play a key role in leading the design and implementation of environmental remediation systems. Your work will involve treatment designs, mechanical piping layouts, pumping and piping calculations, and collaborating with multi-disciplinary environmental remediation teams. Projects will focus on designing groundwater treatment processes and infrastructure, with the opportunity to work alongside a strong team of civil, environmental, automation, electrical, and structural engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead design phases for sub-systems in nationwide environmental remediation projects.
2. Manage planning tasks, including conducting analyses, performing calculations, evaluating treatment alternatives, creating technical figures/tables, and preparing comprehensive technical reports.
3. Oversee and support design activities by planning, producing detailed drawings and technical specifications, performing necessary calculations, and preparing bid documents.
4. Lead and contribute to field data assessments in support of remediation evaluations and design efforts.
5. Provide engineering support during the bid-phase, address RFIs, offer construction assistance, and/or provide construction oversight.
6. Collaborate with team members and effectively manage your workload independently.
Qualifications:
1. B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
2. 4-10 years of environmental engineering experience, with a focus on remediation systems and pumping/well infrastructure.
3. Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification, with the ability to pursue PE licensure.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
5. Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment, demonstrate strong organizational skills, and exhibit a willingness to learn.
6. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ArcGIS, and Microsoft Office.
7. Current 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification is a plus.
