Job Description
This role is key to the coordination of our projects, relying on strong collaborative skills to work with various different groups whether that be internally to AFRY or externally around projects too, for example:
1. You will support the Project Management (PM) Team, acting as on-site Resident Engineer during the construction of respective projects. As well as preparing progress reports for the PM Team, including schedule updates, financial updates and updating of the Project Risk Log. Maintain, manage and update the project programme.
2. Also you will liaise with the electrical and civil engineering teams with regards to design reviews, site acceptance tests, installation works, commissioning works and final handover works (including all documentation);
3. In terms of the coordinating aspect you will facilitate all stages of construction work to ensure safety, cost, quality and schedule are managed, reported and maintained. Further assisting in the production of complete and comprehensive documentation relating to the project and infrastructure, to be compiled in the Project Health and Safety File; as well as the preparation of construction and environmental method statements and other documentation as required to meet and adhere to project planning conditions.
Qualifications
This means we are looking for someone who can develop good working relationships with colleagues, contractors and clients. As our business is developing geographically you should be flexible to drive yourself to sites in the Republic of Ireland and be self-motivated to work autonomously on a day to day basis.

Candidates need to have a up-to-date Safepass card and a degree in Civil, Structural or Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 3-4 years’ experience as a resident engineer, with a number of years’ experience on renewables development projects in Ireland or UK.
