Key Duties & Responsibilities of the Role
* Fabricate & install architectural and structural metalwork
* Read and interpret shop drawings
* Fit up, jig and tack complex assemblies
* Carry out MIG & TIG welding to architectural standard and in accordance with EN 1090
* Set up and operate various equipment including saw, drill, CNC press, guillotine, metalworker, welding machines, CNC pipe bender, grinders and polishing equipment
* Polish and passivate finished product and prepare for transport
* Record time and material used against works order numbers to ensure full material traceability and accurate job costing
* Liaise directly with site management in fluent English to ensure smooth completion of work
* Work to tight deadlines
* Report any issues to management in a timely manner
* Have full, clean driving licence
* Attend and complete all required training
* Adhere to company safety statement, quality manual, associated procedures, and employee handbook
* Ad hoc duties as required by management
Personal Profile
* Solas-qualified or part-qualified M.A.M.F., or Metal Fabricator with experience carrying out comparable work
* Referenceable track record in problem solving
* Positive attitude, and ability to work as part of a team
* The following experience is seen as advantageous and value-adding:
1. Pipe welding
2. Glass fitting
3. Leadership / mentoring an apprentice
Minimum Remuneration €35,490 gross per annum. This is representative of a 39 hour week and minimum pay of €17.50 per hour. Base rate of pay may be subject to increase based on skill and experience.
Standard Working Hours Mon-Thu 08:00 to 17:00 and Fri 08:00 to 13:00. Any hours worked outside of standard rostered hours is paid at a rate of time and a half.
