Senior/Assistant Manager – Sustainability Technical – Sustainability Assurance
About the position:
We are looking for a motivated and technically skilled Senior/Assistant Manager to join our Sustainability Assurance Technical team. You will play a key role in supporting the sustainability assurance engagement team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Methodology & Technical Development: Develop and/or maintain comprehensive methodologies and procedures for sustainability assurance engagements, draft technical guidance, templates, and examples to support engagement teams in delivering consistent and high-quality sustainability assurance engagements.
* Stay up to date with evolving sustainability standards, regulatory frameworks, and trends, build and maintain detailed knowledge of sustainability assurance standards, legislation and other requirements.
* Collaboration & Team Building: Establish strong relationships with audit and assurance teams, working with subject matter experts and other stakeholders to ensure a unified approach to sustainability assurance.
* Technical Support & Consultation: Provide comprehensive support to engagement teams conducting sustainability assurance engagements, ensuring the delivery of accurate and reliable assurance, research complex sustainability assurance issues and provide practical solutions to assurance, audit and consulting teams.
* Training & Development: Prepare and deliver content for internal training sessions, equipping engagement teams with the knowledge and skills needed to perform sustainability assurance engagements.
Required Skills and Experience:
* A Qualified Accountant - e.g. ACA, ACCA, CPA qualified. Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience in practice or industry.
* Knowledge of sustainability- and corporate reporting environments and the interconnectivity with financial reporting.
* Detailed knowledge of ISA (Ireland).
* Understanding and awareness of ISAE 3000 (Revised), ISAE Ireland 3000, ISAE 3410 and ISSA 5000 (ED).
* Understanding or awareness of sustainability reporting frameworks and standards e.g. ESRS, IFRS S1 and S2, TCFD, GRI etc.
* Understanding of financial reporting frameworks, preferably IFRS, IFRS as adopted by the EU, UK-adopted International Accounting Standards.
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
* Good communications skills, both written and verbal.
* Comfort and ability in presenting complex topics.
* Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS SharePoint etc.
* Ability to work on your own initiative.
