Job Description

We are seeking an experienced BIM Manager / Coordinator to join our multidisciplinary design consultancy team. This role involves overseeing the day-to-day management of BIM projects across various disciplines, ensuring alignment with internal company standards and client requirements. You will report directly to the Regional BIM Lead and play a key role in supporting project teams, managing project data, and maintaining compliance with industry best practices and relevant standards, including the Irish Capital Works Management Framework (CWMF) BIM Requirements.
This position requires a highly organised individual with a deep understanding of BIM processes, standards, and software tools to facilitate effective project delivery, coordination, and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
* BIM Project Management: Manage and deliver day-to-day BIM activities for assigned projects, ensuring alignment with both internal standards and client-specific requirements.
* CDE Setup and Maintenance: Establish and maintain Common Data Environments (CDEs) for BIM projects, ensuring data security, accessibility, and accuracy.
* Documentation Development: Create and maintain key BIM documentation, such as:
BIM Execution Plans (BEPs)
Task Information Delivery Plans (TIDPs)
Master Information Delivery Plans (MIDPs)
Responsibility Matrices and other essential project protocols.
* BIM Software Support & Troubleshooting: Provide technical support and training to project teams in BIM-related software, including:
Revit
Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) / BIM360
Civil 3D
AutoCAD.
* BIM Coordination: Lead BIM coordination activities, including model integration, quality assurance, and clash detection using tools such as Navisworks and ACC. Conduct regular model reviews and resolve coordination issues in collaboration with the project team.
* Clash Detection: Run clash detection processes and generate clash reports, guiding the resolution process through effective coordination with design teams.
* BIM Coordination Meetings: Organise and lead BIM coordination meetings, ensuring clear communication between stakeholders and the successful resolution of technical issues.
* Client Engagement: Interface with clients as needed to understand their BIM requirements and ensure successful delivery of project goals, maintaining high levels of client satisfaction.
* Compliance & Standards: Ensure all projects adhere to the Irish CWMF BIM requirements, ISO 19650 standards, and other relevant BIM protocols.
Skills & Qualifications:
* BIM Qualification: A third-level qualification in BIM or a related discipline (Architecture, Engineering, or Construction).
* Relevant experience as a BIM Manager or Coordinator role, preferably within a multidisciplinary consultancy environment.
* BIM Software Expertise: Proficient in using BIM software, particularly:
Revit
BIM 360 / ACC
Navisworks
Civil 3D
AutoCAD.
* Coordination Skills: Strong experience in BIM coordination, including running clash detection and managing coordination processes using software such as Navisworks and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
* CDE Knowledge: Demonstrated experience in setting up and managing Common Data Environments (CDEs) for large-scale projects.
* Documentation Skills: Experience in developing BIM documentation, including BEPs, TIDPs, MIDPs, and Responsibility Matrices.
* Training & Support: Ability to provide BIM software training and troubleshooting to project teams.
* Knowledge of Standards: Familiarity with ISO 19650 standards and the Irish Capital Works Management Framework (CWMF) BIM requirements.
* Soft Skills: Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple disciplines and levels within the organisation.
* Client-Facing Experience: Ability to engage effectively with clients and understand their BIM requirements.
* Desirable Skills:
Industry Certifications: Additional certifications in BIM software or project management (e.g., Autodesk Certification, Project Management Certification).
Experience in Multidisciplinary Teams: Previous experience working in a consultancy environment with exposure to architecture, engineering, and construction teams.
Irish BIM Standards: In-depth knowledge of Irish BIM standards and CWMF protocols.
