Field Technician - Trim and Equipment Phase
This role is the second step in the Field Technician trajectory, building on all requirements and expectations for Prewire. The primary responsibility is to install and manage the trim and eventually the equipment phase of A/V projects.
Responsibilities:
* All components of Field Technician - Prewire
* Provides QA/QC of Prewire job scope
* Installs various plates at proper height, plumb, and level
* Wires and installs speakers with clean and properly aligned grills
* Installs network gear (access points)
* Installs lighting keypads, modules, and processors
* Installs and tests surveillance equipment
* Validates and terminates all low voltage wiring via toning and testing, completing final labels as necessary
* Prepares and finishes headend location(s)
* Installs and programs displays, local equipment, and projectors
* Locates, assembles, and hangs projector screen
* Installs shade power supplies, shade pockets, flap and hanger, and shades
* Fully utilized 40 hour work week with target utilization rate (time on site/billable time) of 75% or better
* Onsite work may consist of local and remote locations requiring travel
* Maintains accurate project time coding for effective job costing and consistent completion of timesheets by end of each work week
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* Attention to detail and excellent communication and documentation skills
* Ability to work independently on project sites and know when to seek support and guidance
* Thorough knowledge and understanding of local building code for low voltage wiring and building requirements
* Show uncompromising respect for client's property

* Industry and manufacturer training and certifications
Primary Positions Interacting with This Position:
* This role reports to the Director of Field Operations and works closely with other Technicians, Warehouse, and Project Managers
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
* Physical demands: Occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear
* Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
* Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
* Driving is required to site locations, including remote travel and mountain locations
* Work environment: Usually moderate noise level
* Work environment changes from day to day: Primarily on project sites with occasional visits to the warehouse to pick up equipment for jobs and perform administrative duties
