On behalf of our client, a manufacturing client based in Shannon, Co. Clare, we are seeking a Planner to join their team on a six-month fixed term contract basis.
The Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Planner will possess strong project and time management skills, use creative approaches to achieve goals, have a willingness to be flexible, and be a driver of change.
Responsibilities
1. Complete all work-related tasks such as creating, processing, scanning, and archiving purchase orders.
2. Work with the supply chain team to support production and external customer needs.
3. Collaborate with all departments where required to comply with company projects as assigned.
4. Work with Lead Planner/Buyer for all schedule-related activities in the manufacturing area, daily and weekly material deliveries.
5. Provide daily feedback to customer service in relation to customer expedite requests, order status updates, and problem orders on the shop floor.
6. Advise on deliveries and plan the scheduling of jobs to the shop floor.
7. Deal with vendor & customer contacts via phone & email.
8. Liaise with production to obtain answers to expedited items.
9. Work with Lead Planner/Buyer to ensure delivery of KPI’s and weekly reports for management.
10. Data entry on ERP system and running work benches.
11. Liaise with Production/Engineering to send Purchase orders to vendors.
Skills & Experience that we need
1. Degree in Business related discipline.
2. Proficient in Excel; any ERP systems used is an advantage.
3. Ability to read engineering drawings is an advantage.
4. To establish and achieve continuous improvement goals.
5. Effective communication skills - written, verbal, and interpersonal.
6. Excellent organisational skills.
7. Proactive, self-starter, who must be able to work independently without supervision.
8. Ability to prioritise work effectively and manage multiple tasks.
9. Positive attitude and be motivated by the role.
10. Operate to the highest ethical and professional standards with a strong work ethic.
The Offer
This is a six-month fixed term contract with a competitive salary depending on the candidate's experience and qualifications. This role is based fully onsite in Shannon Co. Clare, and hours of work are Monday to Thursday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm and Friday 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.
