Role Profile
We have an exciting opportunity in the Electric Vehicles Team in the Mobility and Smart Networks Department.
The Mobility and Smart Networks Department develops and administers supports, education, and guidance on the decarbonisation of our energy systems. The department engages, empowers, and enables citizens, communities, and businesses on their decarbonisation journey.
Electric Vehicles and Mobility
SEAI is supporting the decarbonisation of the Irish transport sector with grants and consumer education on electric vehicles. Supporting sustainable and shared mobility is the next step in this transition.
Reporting to the Programme Manager - Electric Vehicles and Demand Generation, this position will play a key role in the Mobility and Smart Networks Department.
The successful candidate will join an enthusiastic and innovative team who are committed to the high-quality delivery of SEAI's objectives, goals, and values.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
* A degree (a minimum of NFQ Level 7 or greater) in a relevant discipline such as Business, Science, Engineering, or Communications.
* Minimum of three years' directly relevant experience working in this or a related sector or in a similar role.
* Experience building and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Excellent communication (written and oral) skills, including report writing, presenting, and public speaking, with an ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
* An understanding of the motor industry, in particular the vehicle sector.
* An understanding of sustainable mobility.
* Experience in promotional activities.
* Experience of using Power BI and developing reports and programme dashboards.
* Knowledge of public procurement.
* Experience of public information and awareness campaigns.
* Good awareness of climate change and sustainability.
Eligibility to Work
The SEAI has a legal obligation to ensure that all employees are lawfully entitled to work in Ireland. To qualify, candidates must hold a valid visa on the date of application and, where applicable, submit a valid work permit/visa confirming permission to work in Ireland when requested. Failure to submit the required evidence, and failure to hold a valid permit/visa during the period of the contract, will result in the application and/or contract of employment being rendered void.
