Health & Safety Advisor
The Life Science and Tech division is seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to join the team in Kildare.
Responsibilities:
* Demonstrate strong leadership skills.
* Assist the BU HSE Manager in rolling out company strategy and expectations within SOPs, guidance, etc.
* Conduct high-quality safety inspections of Sisk workplaces at a frequency and level of intrusiveness coached by the BU HSE Manager. Perform risk reviews.
* Attend sites following accidents/incidents and assist with investigations. In the absence of the Project Director, lead the investigation.
* Liaise with enforcement authorities if they visit sites on routine visits or to investigate following an incident.
* Understand bespoke client requirements and tailor management systems accordingly, with line manager approval.
* Notify your line manager if there are signs of deterioration or lack of ownership in delivering expected Sisk and/or bespoke client safety requirements.
* Support the BU HSE Manager with tender and pre-qualification submissions as requested, advising on Health and Safety concerns and providing practical solutions.
* Attend Start Up meetings with Sisk site teams. Where requested, attend other meetings with Clients and supply chain partners.
* Coach staff at all levels on Health and Safety expectations and standards.
* Implement the management system and coach others to use it appropriately.
* Foster innovative ideas for enhanced safety performance.
* Deliver relevant training.
* Maintain knowledge and share advice with teams on environmental principles and management.
Requirements:
* At least 10 years of experience in the construction industry, ideally in Pharma.
* At least 10 years of experience as a Health and Safety professional.
* Be inquisitive about root cause outcomes.
* Lead improvement initiatives.
* Effective and confident training provider.
* Strong time management and organizational skills.
* Hold a NEBOSH Construction Diploma or equivalent.
* Hold a NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent.
* Hold a NVQ Level 4/EFQ L5 in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.
* Internal Auditor certification.
